DESCRIPTION:The Wellcome Trust “Collaborative Awards in Science” suppo
 rt Basic and clinical research in any disciplines carried out by a team of
  researchers\, working together on the most important scientific problems 
 to improve health for everyone. \nInterdisciplinary projects across Scienc
 e\, Humanities and Social Science and Innovations teams are encouraged.\n\
 nWho can apply\n\n	The PI must be based in UK\, Ireland or a Low or Middle
  income country.\n	Swiss-based researchers can only join a consortium if t
 hey bring essential expertise or resources.\n	The consortium must have bet
 ween 2-7 members. Each applicant must be essential and bring different exp
 ertise.\n	Applicants must have a permanent\, open-ended or long-term rolli
 ng contract\, or the guarantee of one and have their salary covered by oth
 er sources for the duration of the grant.\n\n\nFunding & Duration: Max. £
 4 million for up to 5 years\n\n\n	Covers: personnel (salary for all resear
 ch staff involved\; excluding the  salary of applicants’ outside the UK
 /Low or middle income countries)\, materials and consumables\, animals\, p
 urchase of essential equipment (incl. VAT\; if equipment > CHF 100’000 2
 5% of its cost must be covered with own funding)\, one personal computer o
 r laptop per person\, access to essential equipment or facilities\, travel
 \, conference and subsistence costs\, field research\, publications\, othe
 r.\n	Does NOT cover: overheads\, open access article processing charges an
 d\, for researchers outside of the UK\, clinical studies or trials.\n\n\nD
