DESCRIPTION:The National Research Programmes (NRPs) of the Swiss National 
 Science Foundation (SNSF) are a means of generating and conducting coordin
 ated research projects that pursue a common goal.\n\nNRP 77 “Digital tra
 nsformation” aims to generate knowledge about the opportunities\, risks\
 , challenges and solutions that digitalisation creates for society. A 1st 
 call was launched in 2018 with 37 projects funded.\n\nTo bridge some resea
 rch gaps\, NRP 77 has launched a 2nd call for proposals with a budget of C
 HF 5.4M to fund around 8 new projects. Interdisciplinary projects and coll
 aborations with other NRP 77 projects are strongly encouraged.\n\nTopics o
 f the 2nd call:\n \nModule 1 on “Education\, learning and digital chang
 e” (CHF 1.8M for 2-3 grants):\n\n	Individuals in the second half of thei
 r lives\, and from different educational backgrounds\;\n	Individuals with 
 disabilities and with different educational backgrounds\;\n	Impact of digi
 talisation on the education system.\n\n\nModule 2 on “Ethics\, trustwort
 hiness and governance” (CHF 3.6M for 5-6 grants):\n\n\n	Impact of digita
 lisation on the public sphere and/or journalism\;\n	Governance and legal f
 ramework of digital technologies.\n\n\nModule 3 has been discontinued.\n\n
 Who can apply: see SNSF Project Funding rules in the EPFL Toolkit for Proj
 ect Funding.\n\nFunding and duration: indicatively CHF 300’000-600’000
  for max. 48 months.\n\n\n	Eligible costs: see SNSF Project Funding rules 
 in the EPFL Toolkit for Project Funding.\n	Note PhD students’ salaries m
 ust be guaranteed for 48 months regardless of the duration of the NRP fund
 ing.\n	Researchers abroad can receive up to 30% of the overall budget.\n\n
