DESCRIPTION:This initiative supports collaboration between researchers bas
 ed in high as well as low and middle income countries and addressing diffe
 rent perspectives on Cultural Heritage and Change\, especially in relation
  to one of the following aspects:\n\n	Theoretical development of heritage.
 \n	Contributions of cultural heritage to an economically\, socially\, and 
 environmentally sustainable future.\n	Consequences of the use of ICTs in r
 elation to cultural heritage. \n	Threats to heritage such as war\, terrori
 sm\, or climate change. \n\n\nWhile the disciplinary focus within the rese
 arch groups should be on humanities and social sciences\, input from other
  disciplines is welcome wherever appropriate.\n\nThis call is the second j
 oint funding initiative of Compagnia di San Paolo (Italy)\, Riksbankens Ju
 bileumsfond (Sweden)\, and the Volkswagen Foundation (Germany). Further ca
 lls on other global issues – addressing a variety of disciplines – wil
 l follow.\n\nWho can apply:\n\n\n	Swiss-based applicants are eligible for 
 funding\, but the consortium must be led by an applicant based in Germany\
 , Italy or Sweden and include at least 2 applicants based in low and middl
 e income countries (LMICs) for a total of 3-5 applicants.\n	Applicants mus
 t hold a PhD (or equivalent qualification) and must be affiliated to a uni
 versity or research institution. All career levels post-PhD are eligible.\
 n\n\nFunding & Duration: max. EUR 1.5M for up to 4 years.\n\n\n	A relative
 ly even distribution of funding amongst the different partners is expected
 .\n	Eligible costs: personnel\, travel costs\, scientific visits\, consuma
 bles\, acquisition of data\, equipment and other research-related costs + 
 part-time administrative costs\, science communication measures + up to EU
 R 10K for a meeting aimed at preparing the pre-proposal. Does not cover ov
 erheads.\n\n\nTimeline of the call:\n\n\n	Deadline for pre-proposals: 13 M
 ay 2020 by 2 p.m. CET (previously 25 March 2020).\n	Shortlisted pre-propos
 als will be invited to submit a full proposal at the end of June 2020.\n	D
 eadline for full proposals: 25 November 2020.\n	Interview: 9-10 February 2
