DESCRIPTION:This initiative supports collaboration between researchers bas
 ed in high as well as low and middle income countries and addressing diffe
 rent perspectives on Mobility – Global Medicine and Health Research.\n\n
 The purpose of this call is to promote interdisciplinary and multi-perspec
 tive research on how global mobility influences the general health\, vario
 us health determinants and the well-being of local and mobile populations\
 , and how the effects of mobility could be addressed in a sustainable way.
 \n\nThis call is a joint funding initiative of ”la Caixa” Foundation (
 Spain)\, Novo Nordisk Foundation (Denmark)\, Wellcome (UK)\, and the Volks
 wagen Foundation (Germany).\n\nWho can apply:\n\n	Swiss-based applicants a
 re eligible for funding\, but the consortium must be led by an applicant b
 ased in Denmark\, Germany\, Spain\, Portugal or the United Kingdom and it 
 must include at least 2 applicants based in 2 different low and middle inc
 ome countries (LMICs) for a total of 3-5 applicants. The number of co-appl
 icants in LMICs must match (or exceed) those in high income countries.\n	A
 pplicants must hold a PhD (or equivalent qualification) and must be affili
 ated to a university or research institution. All career levels post-PhD a
 re eligible.\n\n\nFunding & Duration:\n\n\n	EUR 50K for 10 months for the 
 15 shortlisted pre-proposals.\n	EUR 1.5M for the 4-6 selected full proposa
 ls for 3-5 years.\n	Eligible costs: personnel (incl. 50% of the applicants
 ’ salaries)\, travel costs\, scientific visits\, conference and workshop
  participation\, consumables\, essential minor equipment\, publication and
  dissemination of results\, bench fees and other research-related costs + 
 part-time administrative costs. Does not cover overheads.\n\n\nTimeline of
  the call:\n\n\n	Deadline for pre-proposals: 30 April 2020 (previously 17 
 April 2020). \n	Shortlisted pre-proposals will be invited to submit a full
  proposal in July 2020\n	Deadline for full proposals: 1 June 2021\n	Interv
 iew: September 2021\, London\n	Decision: December 2021\n	Earliest project
