DESCRIPTION:EFSD and Sanofi have established a new programme called the EF
 SD/Sanofi European Diabetes Research Programme in Macrovascular Complicati
 ons to encourage new projects aimed at advancing current knowledge in this
  field.\n\nGrants are offered for basic or clinical mechanistic studies. I
 nnovative studies including use of advanced stem cell approaches will be p
 articularly welcome.\nStudies involving classical animal models of macrova
 scular disease will not be considered for funding.            
                \n\nWho can apply:\n\n	The principal investi
 gator and any co-investigators must be employed full-time at a non-profit 
 institution in the EU or Associated Countries and the study must be perfor
 med at their place of work.  \n	Applicants to all EFSD programmes must b
 e paid-up members of EASD.\n	Only one EFSD award per PI or Co-PI at a time
 .\n	There can be more than one EFSD award per lab\, but for separate proje
 cts.\n\n\nFunding & Duration:\n\n\n	EUR 100’000 for basic projects and E
 UR 250’000 for clinical projects for 12 months or longer.\n	The budget m
 ust be prepared in EUR and it must mention the exchange rate.\n	Please men
 tion all funding requested and obtained from other sources.\n	Eligible cos
 ts: personnel\, 10% OH\, equipment\, supplies\, other project-related cost
 s.\n\n\nDeadline: 16 March 2020 at 18:00 (CET)\nDecision: July 2020\n\nFor
