DESCRIPTION:The Danish Foundation Novo Nordisk has launched a new call for
  its “Data Science Collaborative Research Programme”. The programme ai
 ms to support synergistic research collaborations rooted in data science w
 hich:\n\n	lead to new or improved algorithms\, methods and technologies wi
 thin data science and/or\n	apply data science to scientific problems withi
 n biomedical and health science\, life science and industrial applications
  promoting sustainability\, as well as natural and technical science.\n\n\
 nDoes NOT support: projects where the primary focus is on financial or ins
 urance data\, fraud detection\, advertisement\, social media\, social scie
 nce or humanities\, security and mass surveillance\, defense\, gaming\, et
 c.\n\nWho can apply: \n\n\n	The consortium can involve 2-6 applicants.\n	T
 he main applicant must be at least 50% affiliated to a Danish university\,
  hospital or other non-profit organization\, and must hold a teaching or t
 raining programme there.\n	Co-applicants can be based anywhere in the worl
 d.\n	Consortia from within data science or across disciplines (like medici
 ne\, biology\, biotechnology\, physics\, chemistry\, etc.) are both eligib
 le.\n	Industrial partners are NOT eligible.\n\n\nFunding & Duration: max. 
 DKK 15 million (for 2-3 applicants) or max. 30 million (for 4-6 applicants
 ) for up to 5 years. The Foundation will award up to DKK 90 million in t
 otal for this call. \nEligible costs: personnel\, equipment\, data manage
 ment\, materials\, consumables and service\, collaborative activities\, co
 nference participation\, publication costs\, bench fees\, admin support. D
 oes NOT cover overheads.\n\nDeadline for the Expression of Interest: 1 Apr
 il 2020 at 2 p.m. CET (postponed from 23 March 2020)\nDeadline for full ap
 plications (upon invitation): 26 August 2020 at 2 p.m. CET\nDecision: end 
 of December 2020\nStart of the project: between January and December 2021\
