DESCRIPTION:To promote research and education in cyber-defence\, EPFL\, th
 e Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne\, and the Cyber-Defenc
 e (CYD) Campus have jointly launched the “CYD Fellowships – A Talent P
 rogram for Cyber-Defence Research.”\n\nCYD Fellowships are designed to p
 romote new solutions to major challenges in the fields of security and dat
 a science by bringing together basic and applied research. They are open t
 o researchers at master\, doctoral\, or postdoctoral level who are willing
  to engage with cross-cutting issues in cyber-defence\, with a particular 
 emphasis on:\n\n	novel technologies for protecting the confidentiality\, i
 ntegrity\, and availability of cyber and cyber-physical systems\n	privacy-
 enhancing technologies\n	data science and artificial intelligence methods 
 for analysing cyber- and technology-relevant data\n	research on vulnerabil
 ities and backdoors in digital systems\n\nThe CYD Fellowships are supporte
 d by armasuisse Science and Technology.\n\nWhat: Funding is available for:
 \n\n\n	6-month CYD Master Thesis Fellowships (living allowance and researc
 h and conference funds)\n	4-year (with a possible one-year extension) CYD 
 Doctoral Fellowships (salary and research and conference funds)\n	(up to) 
 3-year CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships (salary and research and
  conference funds)\n\n\nWhere: CYD fellows are hosted by a higher educatio
 n institution in Switzerland and conduct their research at the CYD Campus 
 located on the premises of EPFL and ETHZ and in its office in Thun. The CY
 D Campus is a cyber-competence center acting as an anticipation platform f
 or identifying and assessing technologies\, commercial and social cyber tr
 ends\, as well as the resulting usage scenarios.\n\nWho: Citizens of any n
 ationality can apply\nEnrolment in a Master program at a Swiss higher educ
 ation institution (CYD Master Thesis Fellowships)\, acceptance into a doct
 oral program at a Swiss higher education institution (CYD Doctoral Fellows
 hips)\nEndorsement of a professor at a Swiss higher education institution 
 and of a CYD Campus researcher\nNew talents – eligible applicants do not
  already hold/have not already held an equivalent position in the same fie
