DESCRIPTION:The ERA-NET Cofund ICT-AGRI-FOOD aims to support research proj
 ects with potential impact to enable digital technology solutions for a tr
 ansition towards more sustainable and resilient agri-food systems. Researc
 h projects should investigate\, develop and test digital solutions for the
  rising demand for food\, competition for land and other natural resources
  from other biomass uses\, globalisation\, and threats from animal or plan
 t diseases\, environmental and climatic changes\, public health considerat
 ions and economic constraints. Tackling these challenges will require a co
 ordinated transnational approach\, which uses the available financial\, in
 tellectual and structural resources to maximum effect.\n\nThematic area\nT
 opic 1 - Data-driven ICT platforms and solutions to improve the sustainabi
 lity of agri-food Systems\nTopic 2 - Identify and address barriers for ado
 ption of ICT technologies in the agri- food systems\n\n\nThe ICT-AGRI-FOOD
  2019 Joint Call consists of 28 national and regional public Funding Parti
 es from 22 countries and 3 European regions. The funds will be provided di
 rectly to successful applicants by their respective national/regional Fund
 ing Parties and according to national regulations. For Swiss-based applica
 nts\, the funding party is the Federal Office of Agriculture FOAG. Eligibl
 e consortia will consist of a minimum of 3 independent entities from 3 dif
 ferent EU Member States or Associated Countries\, seeking funding from a m
 inimum of 3 different Funding Parties of 3 different countries participati
 ng in the Joint Call. Consortia with more than 8 partners should justify t
 he necessity and manageability of the project\n\nApplicants are strongly a
 dvised to contact their national contact points before preparing applicati
 ons for this call.\n\nDuration: min. 24 months\, max. 36 months\n\n\nOvera
 ll funding for Swiss partners: approx. CHF 600’000 (545’450 Euros)\nMa
 ximum funding for each Swiss applicants: CHF 180’000 (162’000 Euros)\n
 Funding from FOAG is limited to 75% of the total reported costs of the Swi
 ss partner. The remaining costs must be covered by own resources of the ap
 plicant or any other third party.\n\nSubmission:\nSubmission by the consor
 tium coordinator using the web-based Online Submission Tool\, only accessi
 ble after creation of a user account.\nAn electronic copy of the pre-propo
 sal and of the full proposal must be sent to the National Contact Point no
  later than the closing date for pre-proposals and full proposals respecti
 vely.\n\nTimeline:\nDeadline for submission of pre-proposals: 3 March 2020
