 Since the works by Di Perna-Lions ('89) and Ambrosio (’04) the continuit
 y and transport equation\, under mild regularity assumptions on the vector
  field\, have been extensively studied\, becoming a florid research field.
 \nThe aim of this talk is to give an overview of the quantitative side of 
 the theory\, focusing mostly on the problem of propagation of regularity f
 or ODE flows and solutions to the transport equation.\nWe present recent r
 esults\, examples and an application to the study of advection diffusion e
 quations.\nThis is based on joint works in collaboration with Quoc-Hung Ng
 uyen.
