DESCRIPTION:Every year the Jacobs Foundation awards up to 12 Early Career 
 Postdoctoral Fellowships to postdoctoral researchers\, allowing them:\n\n	
 To conduct independent research of international relevance\,\n	Improving t
 he learning\, development and living conditions of children and youth or\n
 	Contributing to one of the foundation’s thematic priorities: science of
  learning\, early childhood and rural livelihoods.\n	In any disciplines. T
 his includes\, but is not limited to educational sciences\, psychology\, e
 conomics\, sociology\, family studies\, media studies\, political sciences
 \, linguistics\, neurosciences\, and medical sciences.\n	Preference is giv
 en to interdisciplinary work that combines genetic\, epigenetic\, neurobio
 logical\, behavioural and social levels of analysis.\n\n\nWho can apply: p
 ostdoctoral researchers up to 10 years after PhD\, employed at an institut
 ion of higher education or research institute anywhere in the world. If yo
 u have been on maternity leave\, you may deduct one year per child in calc
 ulating the time since receiving your PhD). We will\, however\, take into 
 account the number of years since you earned your PhD when comparing propo
 sals.\n\nFunding & Duration: CHF 165’000 for 36 months (incl. 10% overhe
 ads).\n\n\n	Covers: up to 50% of the fellow’s salary\; partial coverage 
 of any activity supporting the fellow's research\, such as assistant salar
 ies\, equipment\, technical assistance\, professional travel\, or trainee 
 support\; 10% overheads. You are not required to submit a budget.\n	Up to
   of fellowships per year: up to 12\n\n\nOther eligible costs: \n\n\n	Par
 tial coverage of any activity supporting the fellow's research\, such as a
 ssistant salaries\, equipment\, technical assistance\, professional travel
