DESCRIPTION:Aim:  The Alzheimer's Association International Research Gran
 t Program funds investigations to advance our understanding of Alzheimer's
  disease\, identify new treatment strategies\, improve care for people wit
 h dementia and further our knowledge of brain health and disease preventio
 n. The Alzheimer’s Association Research Grant aims to fund investigator
 s who are less than 15 years past their doctoral or post-residency (M.D. o
 r D.O.). The purpose of this program is to provide newly independent inves
 tigators with funding that will allow them to develop preliminary or pilot
  data\, to test procedures and to develop hypotheses. The intent is to sup
 port early-career development that will lay the groundwork for future rese
 arch grant applications to federal or other funding entities\, like the Na
 tional Institutes of Health\, including future proposals to the Alzheimer'
 s Association. \n\nFunding:        $150’000\n\nDuration:     
  3 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants must be Assistant Professors or above 
 at their respective institution. Eligibility to apply for this grant compe
 tition is restricted to investigators who have less than 15 years of resea
 rch experience after receipt of their terminal degree — doctorate or pos
 t-residency (M.D. or D.O.). Adjustments for career interruptions can be ma
 de. These can include\, but are not limited to\, family leave\, military s
 ervice and major illness or injury.\n\nThe sister programs AARG-D\, AARG-N
 TF\, and AARG-D-NTF are available for applicants who come from underrepres
 ented groups and/.or are new to the field. For more guidance\, see the 202
