DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) funds research to be
 tter define\, measure\, and treat Parkinson’s disease as well as critica
 l tools and other resources to advance that research. The purpose of this 
 Request for Applications (RFA) is to support the development of new treatm
 ents and interventions with potential for significant impact for people wi
 th Parkinson’s.  The Therapeutic Pipeline Program seeks to speed the de
 velopment of Parkinson’s disease therapeutics with potential for fundame
 ntally altering disease course\, significantly improving treatment or mana
 gement of non-motor or motor symptoms beyond current standards of care. Pr
 oposals should focus on strategies with clear impact for people with Parki
 nson’s and well-defined development plans. This RFP offers two tracks: a
  pre-clinical track and a clinical track. See the RFP download for the dif
 ferences between the two.\n\nNote that this cycle\, MJFF is particularly i
 nterested in early stage drug discovery efforts for novel targets using ph
 enotypic or target-based screening approaches and efforts focused on devel
 oping therapeutics that alleviate non-motor symptoms.\n\nFunding:

 fit entities\, such as universities\, colleges\, hospitals\, laboratories\
 , units of state and local governments and eligible agencies of the federa
 l government. Post-doctoral fellows are not eligible to apply as principal
  investigators.\n\nHow to Apply: The pre-proposal is the first step in the
  application. Pre-proposals must be completed in the online application po
 rtal. All pre-proposals received in response to MJFF RFAs will be subjecte
 d to review and only applicants whose pre-proposals are determined to best
  fit criteria as defined in the RFA will be invited to submit full applica
 tions. At the full proposal stage\, an institutional approval will be requ
