DESCRIPTION:Aim: The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) funds research to be
tter define\, measure\, and treat Parkinson’s disease as well as critica
l tools and other resources to advance that research.\n The purpose of th
is Request for Applications (RFA) is to investigate environmental factors\
, such as exposure to chemicals or toxic emissions\, that increase the ris
k of PD and/or influence disease progression. While some evidence links en
vironmental factors with increased risk of PD\, much remains unknown regar
ding the specific environmental risks\, their role in disease\, and quanti
fication of their contributions. MJFF is especially interested in funding
projects that utilize large longitudinal datasets and will prioritize coll
aborative efforts that bring together teams of investigators with access t
o multiple diverse datasets. This program is not appropriate for studies t
hat require additional or prospective data collection.\n\nFunding:
      max. $400’000\n\nDuration:        1-2 years\n\nEligibilit
 y: U.S. and non-U.S. public and private non-profit entities\, such as univ
