DESCRIPTION:Swiss Bridge is a private foundation associated with the Swiss
  Cancer League\, the Swiss Cancer Research foundation and the Union for I
 nternational Cancer Control\, which supports high-quality cancer research 
 in Europe.\n\nThe 2020 call focuses on basic and translational research in
  childhood cancer.\n\nWho can apply: early stage researchers (under the ag
 e of 45) holding a PhD or MD and having obtained an independent position a
 t a hospital\, university\, or research institute in Europe (e.g. junior g
 roup leaders\, assistant professors\, lecturers\, scientists establishing 
 their own research group).\n\nFunding & duration: max. CHF 250’000 for u
 p to 36 months.\n\n	Covers: personnel (excluding the PI’s salary)\, cons
 umables\, travel cost\, publications fees.\n	Does NOT cover: indirect cost
 s\, infrastructure\, bench fees and overheads.\n\n\nDeadlines: \n\n\n	Dead
 line for Letter of Intent: 30 April 2020 (submit single PDF to swissbridge
 @swisscancer.ch).\n	Internal deadline for Institutional Support Letter: 23
  April 2020 (contact research@epfl.ch).\n	The Letter of Intent (max. 6 pag
 es) will be evaluated by an international scientific jury.\n	6-8 investiga
 tors will be shortlisted and invited to submit a detailed research applica
 tion.\n	Full proposal: mid-June 2020.\n	Upon peer review and recommendatio
 n from the scientific jury\, up to 3 projects will receive funding.\n	 \n
