DESCRIPTION:Projects is the SNSF instrument for experienced researchers wo
 rking in Switzerland who wish to obtain funding for a project of their own
  in any discipline.\n\nNew! All researchers applying for the next SNSF Pro
 ject Funding call deadline\, 8 April 2020\, with Division III (biology and
  medicine) must use the new SNSF CV format.\n\nWho can apply: \n\n	SNSF Pr
 ojects can be held by one or more applicants. Each applicant must individu
 ally meet the following requirements:\n	PhD obtained at least 4 years prio
 r to the application deadline or 3 years of research work. This restrictio
 n does not apply to independent researchers who can apply as soon as they 
 get the said position. All applicants must be in a position to carry out r
 esearch projects under their own responsibility and to lead project staff.
  Applicants must be employed at least 50% at a research institution for th
 e duration of the project or have been given assurance of such employment 
 in writing.\n\n \nFunding and duration: min. CHF 50’000 (no upper limit
 ) for 12-48 months.\n \nEligible costs: \n\n\n	personnel (scientific and 
 technical staff\; excluding the PI’s salary)\, research costs\, equipmen
 t (for equipment costs higher than CHF 100K in total\, an institutional co
 -financing of 50% must be obtained and you need to contact research@epfl.c
 h 3 weeks prior to the deadline!)\, subcontracting\, scientific cooperatio
 n\, networking and communication.\n	Costs for open access publications are
  not eligible and must be requested separately via mysnf.ch (www.snf.ch/oa
 ).\n	We would like to remind you that EPFL applies\, since 2018\, a flat r
 ate salary scale of CHF 50’040 per year for doctoral students funded by 
 SNSF grants.\n	Use the EPFL Budget Calculator to prepare your application.
 \n\n\nDeadlines: April 8\, 2020 and October 1\, 2020\n \nNew! Due to the 
 Covid-19 pandemic the SNSF has decided to postpone the deadline for SNSF P
 roject Funding to 8 April 2020 (previously 1 April ) (ref. SNSF News).\n\n

 ects with partners based in selected countries:\n\n\n	SNSF Lead Agency: to
  participate in collaborative research with Austria\, Germany\, Luxembourg
  (Deadline: 8 April\, 1 October)\, France\, Belgium\, Czech Republic and S
 outh Tyrol (Deadline: 8 April)\, Slovenia (Deadline: November) and Poland 
 (Deadline: 15 December).\n	International co-investigator scheme: to fund f
 oreign partners in collaborative projects with Denmark\, Norway\, Sweden\,
  UK\, Germany and Austria. Deadline: 8 April\, 1 October.\n	SNSF Spirit: f
 or collaborative research in any disciplines with countries receiving deve
 lopment assistance. Rolling call.\n\n\nFor interdisciplinary collaborative
  projects:\n\n\n	SNSF Sinergia: for interdisciplinary collaborative resear
 ch in any disciplines. Deadlines: 1 June\, 1 December.\n
