DESCRIPTION:The Fight Kids Cancer programme is a new funding instrument es
 tablished by three European parents' and patients’ representative organ
 isations that have joined forces to launch a call open to collaborative ac
 ademic research projects on paediatric cancer.\n\nThe first call\, which i
 s endowed with EUR 3M\, will support up to two early phase clinical trials
  and up to three translational research projects. The aim is to accelerate
  therapeutic innovation for children and adolescents with cancer. This cal
 l will cover the following three non-exclusive themes:\n\n	To produce worl
 d-leading science to advance knowledge of paediatric malignancies.\n	To su
 pport improved interdisciplinary knowledge\, methods and collaborations fo
 r the issues of today.\n	To strengthen collaboration and the development o
 f scientific capacity across Europe.\n\n\nWho can apply:\n\n\n	Consortia o
 f researchers.\n	The PI must be based in one of these eligible countries (
 including Switzerland).\n	Preferably\, the PI should be employed at an ins
 titutions with a strong track record in paediatric cancer research.\n	Part
 ners from countries not listed as eligible are permitted\, provided they a
 re not delivering a core component of the project upon which major activit
 ies are dependent\; such partners must be non-profit and should plan to le
 verage complementary funding.\n\n\nFunding:\n\n\n	For early phase clinical
  trials: max EUR 1.5M per project.\n	For translational research projects: 
 max EUR 500K per project.\n\nDoes NOT cover overheads. \n\nDeadline: 22 A
 pril 2020\, 16:00 (4pm) Brussels time.\nDecision: late May 2020.\nEarliest
