DESCRIPTION:ELRHA is a UK-based global charity\, established in 2009 to fi
 nd solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovat
 ion.\n\nELRHA is launching an urgent funding call for research proposals t
 o support the COVID-19 response in humanitarian settings. The call aims to
  fund public health research that will produce robust findings that will c
 ontribute to the effectiveness of the current humanitarian response and in
 crease the evidence base for future responses to similar infectious diseas
 e outbreaks.\n\nProposals will be eligible for research that targets:\n\n	
 Refugees or IDPs in camps or urban humanitarian settings\, or conflict-aff
 ected people in humanitarian settings in LMICs.\n	Health systems and healt
 h care workers supporting the COVID-19 response in humanitarian settings i
 n LMICs.\n\n\nProposals will be eligible for research that addresses the f
 ollowing topics:\n\n	Innovative solutions\n	Supporting existing health car
 e delivery\n	Predicting outbreaks\n	Social science behavioural research\n	
 Co-ordination and sharing\n\n\nThis call does NOT fund vaccine and therape
 utic research and development of diagnostics.\n\nResearch teams will need 
 to be able to start research activities as soon as possible so the finding
 s inform the current response.\n\nWho can apply:\n\n\n	The lead applicant 
 may be a research institution\, a non-profit institution or NGO\, a UN age
 ncy\, or a public or government institution. The research team should incl
 ude academic and humanitarian partners\, as appropriate.\n	Applicants can 
 be based in any country in the world.\n\n\nFunding & Duration: no upper or
  lower limit.\n\n\n	Eligible costs: personnel costs\, travel costs\, costs
  related to data collection and analysis\, reasonable equipment costs\, an
 d other items\, so as to cover the full research costs in the relevant set
 ting\; dissemination and uptake of research findings\; 10% overheads. Does
  NOT cover the costs of interventions.\n\n\nDeadlines: 13 April 2020\, 20
