DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer-Reviewed M
 edical Research Program (PRMRP) Awards. The PRMRP Investigator Initiated R
 esearch Award is designed to support research with the potential to yield 
 highly impactful data that could lead to critical discoveries or major adv
 ancements. The application must clearly demonstrate the project’s potent
 ial short-term and long-term outcomes. Research projects may focus on any 
 phase of research from basic laboratory research through translational res
 earch\, including preclinical studies in animal models and human subjects.
 \n\nRelevance to the healthcare needs of military Service members\, Vetera
 ns\, military beneficiaries\, and/or the American public is a key feature 
 of this award. Applications are required to include an explanation of how 
 the proposed project has relevance to military health.\n\nAll applications
  for PRMRP funding must specifically address at least one of the Topic Are
 as as directed by Congress and have direct relevance to military health. T

 Eligibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions a
 re eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. PI appli
 cants must be independent investigators at or above the level of Assistant
  Professor (or equivalent).\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitte
 d through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a 
 preproposal narrative\, and a list of collaborators and key personnel as s
