DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer-Reviewed M
 edical Research Program (PRMRP) Awards. The PRMRP Technology/Therapeutic D
 evelopment Award is a product-driven award mechanism intended to provide s
 upport for the translation of promising preclinical findings into products
  for clinical applications\, including prevention\, detection\, diagnosis\
 , treatment\, or improvement of quality of life. The product(s) to be deve
 loped may be a tangible item such as a pharmacologic agent (drugs or biolo
 gics) or device\, or a knowledge-based product. Proof of concept demonstra
 ting the potential utility of the proposed product\, or a prototype/ preli
 minary version of the proposed product\, should already be established.\n\
 nRelevance to the healthcare needs of military Service members\, Veterans\
 , military beneficiaries\, and/or the American public is a key feature of 
 this award. Applications are required to include an explanation of how the
  proposed project has relevance to military health.\n\nAll applications fo
 r PRMRP funding must specifically address at least one of the Topic Areas 
 as directed by Congress and have direct relevance to military health. The 
 FY20 PRMRP Topic Areas are listed at the end of this announcement.\n\nFund

 gibility: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are 
 eligible to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. PI applican
 ts must be independent investigators at or above the level of Assistant Pr
 ofessor (or equivalent).\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted t
 hrough the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a pre
 proposal narrative\, and a list of collaborators and key personnel as sugg
 ested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made via
