DESCRIPTION:The State Secretariat for Education\, Research and Innovation 
 (SERI) has commissioned the University of St. Gallen (UNISG) as Leading Ho
 use for bilateral research collaboration with Latin American institutions 
 for the period 2017-2020.\n\nUNISG is pleased to announce the launch of th
 e 2020 Seed Money Grants call. The goal of the Seed Money Grants is to str
 engthen or initiate scientific exchange between researchers from Swiss and
  Latin American institutions in all disciplines by enabling them to jointl
 y undertake preliminary research and organize meetings\, conferences\, or 
 workshops.\n\nSeed Money Grants are particularly useful to develop joint p
 roject proposals to be submitted to large funding agencies or to combine a
 lready existing and independently funded projects. Priority is given to re
 searchers/projects without previous funding\, e.g. SNF or Leading House Gr
 ants.\n\nThe call is open to mono- or interdisciplinary research projects 
 in any disciplines involving bilateral or multilateral partnerships betwee
 n Swiss and Latin American institutions.\n\nWho can apply:\n\n	Each applic
 ation must have one PI based in a Swiss institution and one in a Latin Ame
 rican institution.\n	PIs must hold a faculty or a scientist position at an
  accredited university or public research institute or hold a PhD + severa
 l years of research experience.\n	Applications that include Master and PhD
  students must be submitted by their supervisors.\n	The Swiss-based PI is 
 responsible for the submission of the application and\, if successful\, fo
 r the management of the grant.\n\n\nFunding & Duration: between CHF 10’0
 00 and CHF 25’000 for 12 months.\n\n\n	Eligible costs: project-related c
 osts\, travel\, workshops\, conferences\, consumables\, accommodations and
  fieldwork.\n	Does NOT cover: personnel costs\, tuition fees\, outsourced 
 services\, hardware and overheads.\n	Financial contributions from each sid
 e of the partnership are expected.\n\n\nDeadline: 3 June 2020\nDecision: 1
