CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Ovarian Cancer
Research Program (OCRP) Awards. The OCRP Pilot Award supports the explorat
ion of innovative concepts or theories in ovarian cancer that could ultima
tely lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will drive th
e field forward. The proposed research must demonstrate a clear focus on o
varian cancer (e.g.\, using tissues\, cell lines\, datasets\, or appropria
te animal models)\, and serve as a catalyst to expand or modify current th
inking about and/or approaches in ovarian cancer. Research projects should
include a well-formulated\, testable hypothesis based on strong scientifi
c rationale\; however\, applications that demonstrate exceptional scientif
ic merit but lack innovation do not meet the intent of the Pilot Award. Th
e outcome of research supported by this award should be the generation of
robust preliminary data that can be used as a foundation for future resear
 ch projects.\n\nFunding:        max. $250’000\n\nDuration:
2 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants from international organizations or
