DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Bone Marrow Fai
 lure Research Program (BMFRP) Awards. The BMFRP Idea Development Award is 
 intended to support innovative ideas and high-impact approaches based on s
 cientifically sound evidence to move toward the BMFRP’s vision of unders
 tanding and curing BMF diseases. This award mechanism is designed to suppo
 rt new ideas. Proposed research studies should have a high probability of 
 revealing new avenues of investigation. The proposed research must be rele
 vant to active duty Service members\, Veterans\, military beneficiaries\, 
 and/or the American public.\n\nFunding:        max. $325’000\n\nDu
 ration:      2 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants from international org
 anizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there are no citize
 nship restrictions. This mechanism encourages applications from independen
 t investigators in the early stages of their careers (i.e.\, within 10 yea
 rs of their first faculty appointment\, or equivalent). The New Investigat
 or category is designed to allow applicants early in their faculty appoint
 ments (Assistant Professor) to compete for funding separately from establi
 shed investigators. Applications from New Investigators and Established In
 vestigators will be peer and programmatically reviewed separately.\n\nHow 
 to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They 
 should contain contact information\, a preproposal narrative\, and a list 
 of collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full appl
 ications (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full app
