DESCRIPTION:Aim:  ONR Global recognizes that international scientists and
  engineers conduct creative and novel research. This Global-X Challenge pr
 ovides an opportunity for these international researchers to collaborate\,
  generate revolutionary ideas and demonstrate these ideas will succeed. ON
 R Global invites outstanding international researchers to form multi-natio
 nal\, multidisciplinary teams to address one or more of these capability c
 hallenges.\n\nONR Global is interested in promising concepts to achieve re
 volutionary capability advances with both military and commercial value in
  the multidisciplinary technology challenge areas described below:\n\n	Tai
 lored Material and Manufacturing\n	Multifunctional Maritime Films for Pers
 istent and Survivable Platforms\n	Object Detection and Identification in a
 ny Medium (Air\, Water\, Sand/Earth)\n\n\nFunding:       max. $755’
 000*\n\nDuration:      9 months*\n\n*Additional ONR Global funding pos
 sible for an additional nine month optional research effort\, following su
 ccessful concept demonstration.\n\nEligibility: Researchers from academia 
 and industry may participate. ONR Global expects\, but does not require\, 
 that multi-national teams will consist of at least two research entities o
 utside of the U.S.\, whether from academia\, industry and/or the broad res
 earch community. Researchers from U.S. research entities may also particip
 ate\, but are not required.\n\nHow to Apply: Teams must submit white paper
 s describing their concept and approach. White papers should follow the te
 mplate given by ONR and eventually be submitted to ONRG.GrantProposals@mai
 l.mil. ONR Global will evaluate submitted white papers and will invite tea
 ms with the most promising and revolutionary concepts to submit a grant pr
