DESCRIPTION:In response to the Covid-19 outbreak\, Medical Research Scotla
 nd is making funds available to facilitate research into any health-relate
 d aspect of the COVID-19 pandemic.\n\nProjects must have a clear route tow
 ard an impact in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic including\, but not res
 tricted to:\n\n	the development of approaches to diagnosis\, testing and t
 reatment\;\n	the creation of resources for medical use in hospitals\, care
  homes or by the public\;\n	social science studies that will be useful for
  professional practice\, standards or policy.\n\n\nIf creating a new devic
 e there must be scope to meet regulatory standards.\n\nThese grants can be
  used for new research projects\, for pilot studies\, or to supplement exi
 sting research programmes\, whether funded by other grants or not.\n\nWho 
 can apply:\n\n\n	Applications should come from within a Scottish Universit
 y or research institute.\n	Collaborations with external partners are welco
 med.\n\n\nFunding: GBP 20’000\n\n\n	Eligible costs: consumables\, equipm
 ent and other research-related costs.\n	Does NOT cover: personnel costs\, 
 applicants’ salary\, overheads.\n\n\nRolling call\n\nPlease contact appl
