DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer-Reviewed C
 ancer Research Program (PRCRP) Awards. The PRCRP Idea Award supports hypot
 hesis-driven\, high-impact research. The Impact Award mechanism encourages
  applications with mature research projects that specifically focus on cri
 tical scientific or clinical cancer issues\, which\, if successfully addre
 ssed\, have the potential to make a major impact on at least one of the FY
 20 PRCRP Topic Areas (see end of this announcement). Important factors und
 er consideration will be continuity of research\, clinical applicability\,
  and leveraging of clinical samples and trials.\n\nThe critical components
  of this award mechanism are:\n\n	Impact: The Impact Award is intended to 
 support research that demonstrates the potential to have a major impact in
  the near term on an area of paramount importance in cancer.\n	Preliminary
  Data: The Impact Award is intended to support transformative investigatio
 ns that leapfrog the cancer research field forward by utilizing previous r
 esearch findings.\n	Continuity of Research: The Impact Award is intended t
 o support established projects that have moved beyond the realm of basic r
 esearch and have the potential to result in a near-term impact in clinical
  research or the clinic.\n	Military Relevance: The proposed research must 
 be relevant to active duty Service members\, Veterans\, military beneficia
 ries\, and/or the American public.\n\n\nFunding:       max. $1’000
 ’000\n\nDuration:      3 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants from inter
 national organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, and there a
 re no citizenship restrictions. PI applicants must be independent investig
 ators at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent).\n\nHow
  to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They
  should contain contact information\, a preproposal narrative\, and a list
  of collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full app
