DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer-Reviewed C
 ancer Research Program (PRCRP) Awards. The PRCRP Idea Award supports innov
 ative\, untested\, high-risk/ potentially high-reward concepts\, theories\
 , paradigms\, and/or methods in cancer research that are relevant to activ
 e duty Service members\, Veterans\, other military beneficiaries\, and the
  American public. The Idea Award is not intended to support a logical prog
 ression of an already established research project. The proposed research 
 should be innovative\, introducing a new paradigm\, challenging existing p
 aradigms\, looking at existing problems from new perspectives\, or exhibit
 ing other highly creative qualities.\n \nAll applications for PRCRP fundi
 ng must specifically address at least one of the Topic Areas as directed b
 y Congress and have direct relevance to military health. The FY20 PRCRP To
 pic Areas are listed at the end of this announcement\n\nFunding:

 s from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\,
  and there are no citizenship restrictions. PI applicants must be independ
 ent investigators at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equival
 ent).\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP pl
 atform. They should contain contact information\, a preproposal narrative\
 , and a list of collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platfo
