gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer-Reviewed O
rthopaedic Research Program (PRCRP) Awards. The PRORP Applied Research Awa

ent and restoration of function for individuals with musculoskeletal injur
ies. Applicants are encouraged to address how the proposed research will s
upport patient care closer to the point of injury and/or allow patients to
more quickly return to duty/work. It is expected that any research findin
gs would also provide benefit to the general population. The Award is focu
sed on applied research\, defined as work that refines concepts and ideas
into potential solutions with a view toward evaluating technical feasibili
ty of promising new knowledge products\, pharmacologic agents\, behavioral
and rehabilitation interventions\, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques\
 , clinical guidance\, and/or emerging approaches and technologies.\n \nTo
meet the intent of the award mechanism\, applications must specifically a

n	Retention Strategies: Development and/or optimization of diagnostic capa
 bilities\, decision support tools\, interventions\, and/or rehabilitation
