DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Multiple Sclero
 sis Medical Research Program (MSRP) Awards. The MSRP Exploration-Hypothesi
 s Development Award supports the initial exploration of innovative\, high-
 risk\, high-gain\, and potentially groundbreaking concepts in the multiple
  sclerosis research field. The studies supported by this award mechanism a
 re expected to lay the groundwork for future avenues of scientific investi
 gation. The proposed research project should be innovative. Innovative res
 earch may examine a novel paradigm\, challenge current paradigms\, look at
  existing problems from novel perspectives\, or exhibit other highly creat
 ive qualities\n\nAll applications must address at least one of the Focus A
 reas are listed at the end of this announcement.\n\nFunding:

 rom international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, an
 d there are no citizenship restrictions. PI applicants must be independent
  investigators at or above the level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent
 ).\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platf
 orm. They should contain contact information\, a preproposal narrative\, a
 nd a list of collaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform.
