 us has at its core\, cubical homotopy theory\, for example\, a functor in 
 Goodwillie calculus is linear if it sends homotopy pushouts to homotopy pu
 llbacks. In this talk\, I will describe the connection between the orthogo
 nal calculus of Weiss\, and R^n-cubical homotopy theory\, which is the ana
 logue of cubical homotopy theory\, with the set of n elements replaced by 
 the Euclidean space R^n.
