DESCRIPTION:In the context of the Indo-Swiss Joint Research Programme (ISJ
 RP)\, the SNSF and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) in India have iss
 ued another call to support collaborations between researchers in Switzerl
 and and India.\n\nThis 2020 call aims to support research and development 
 projects that advance the implementation of Systems Medicine approaches\, 
 in both clinical research and medical practice\, by funding high quality r
 esearch projects that will look at health and disease\, including (but not
  limited to) the current COVID-19 pandemic\, from a systems level perspect
 ive.\n\nThe submitted applications will be jointly evaluated by the SNSF a
 nd the DBT. The call is foreseen to fund 15-20 projects. The SNSF will cov
 er the costs for the Swiss part of the research and the DBT the costs incu
 rred in India.\n\nWho can apply:\n\n	At least one applicant based in Switz
 erland and one based in India. Further applicants and project partners bas
 ed in Switzerland and/or India can also participate.\n	Swiss-based applica
 nts: natural persons employed at a Swiss university\, a Swiss university o
 f applied sciences or an institution of the ETH Domain. They must be eligi
 ble for SNSF Project Funding (EPFL Instructions for SNSF Project Funding).
 \n	Applicants based in India: applicants from (public or private) academia
 \, research organisations and urban or other local bodies (including NGO(s
 ) / VO(s) / Trust(s) /Research foundations\, having research as one of the
 ir mandates).\n	All main applicants and further applicants may only submit
  one application per call.\n\n\nFunding & Duration:\n\n\n	Max. CHF 250’0
 00 for 3 years or Max. CHF 350\,000 for 4 years.\n	Eligible costs for Swis
 s-based applicants: employees’ salaries (PhD students\, postdocs\, other
  staff) as well as consumables\, some minor equipment and the mobility cos
 ts related to the project. Expenses related to international travel are to
  be charged to the budget of the visiting side and the living expenses to 
 the budget of the hosting side (see flat rates in the call guidelines). Ov
 erhead costs are not admissible. To prepare your budget\, you can use the

 ember 2020 at 17:00 CEST\n\n\n	Submission: Proposals are to be jointly pre
 pared by the Swiss and Indian applicants. They must be submitted by the Sw
