DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed A
 lzheimer’s Research Program (PRARP) Awards. The PRARP Innovations in Car
 e and Support Award supports innovative and impactful research that improv
 es the quality of life and care for individuals\, families\, and care prov
 iders living with the common symptoms of traumatic brain injury\, Alzheime
 r’s disease\, and/or Alzheimer’s disease related dementias. The propos
 ed work should innovatively challenge existing research paradigms or exhib
 it high levels of creativity within the contexts of the PRARP’s mission 
 and vision. This can include innovations and research for symptom reductio
 n (e.g.\, cognitive\, behavioral\, function\, mood)\, resiliency factors\,
  increasing or maintaining independence\, and support for families and car
 e providers.  All applications must be Innovation- and Impact-based.\n\nT
 his call offers two levels of funding: one geared toward postdocs and non-
 faculty-level researchers (level I)\, and another that is open to PIs at t
 he assistant professor level or above (level II).\n\n\nFunding:      
   Level I – max. $225’000\n                     
    Level II – max $500’000\n\nDuration:      3 years\n\nEligibil
 ity: Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligi
 ble to apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. For Funding Leve
 l I\, The named PI must be at least at the postdoctoral level (e.g.\, rese
 arch associate\, fellow\, medical resident\, or equivalent) but below the 
 level of Assistant Professor (or equivalent) at the time of the applicatio
 n submission deadline. Applications must include at least one Mentor. The 
 PI must write the Project Narrative and other application components\, wit
 h appropriate guidance from the Mentor(s). For Funding Level II\, the name
 d PI must be an independent investigator at or above the level of assistan
 t professor (or equivalent).\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitt
 ed through the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a
  letter of intent (1-page)\, and a list of collaborators and key personnel
  as suggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be m
