DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer Reviewed A
 lzheimer’s Research Program (PRARP) Awards. The PRARP Convergence Scienc
 e Research Award supports innovative and impactful efforts to generate res
 earch resources\, tools\, and new avenues of investigation for researchers
  and/or practitioners in health sciences. The proposed work should innovat
 ively challenge existing research paradigms or exhibit high levels of crea
 tivity within the context of the PRARP’s mission and vision: To address 
 the long-term consequences of traumatic brain injury as they pertain to Al
 zheimer’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias.\n\nThis c
 all offers two levels of funding: one geared toward postdocs and non-facul
 ty-level researchers (level I)\, and another that is open to PIs at the as
 sistant professor level or above (level II).\n\n\nFunding:        Le
 vel I – max. $225’000\n                        
 Level II – max $500’000\n\nDuration:      3 years\n\nEligibility: 
 Applicants from international organizations or institutions are eligible t
 o apply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. For Funding Level I\,
  The named PI must be at least at the postdoctoral level (e.g.\, research 
 associate\, fellow\, medical resident\, or equivalent) but below the level
  of Assistant Professor (or equivalent) at the time of the application sub
 mission deadline. Applications must include at least one Mentor. The PI mu
 st write the Project Narrative and other application components\, with app
 ropriate guidance from the Mentor(s). For Funding Level II\, the named PI 
 must be an independent investigator at or above the level of assistant pro
 fessor (or equivalent).\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted th
 rough the eBRAP platform. They should contain contact information\, a lett
 er of intent (1-page)\, and a list of collaborators and key personnel as s
 uggested on the platform. Full applications (by invitation) will be made v
