DESCRIPTION:Second Call for Applications\n\nTo promote research and educat
 ion in cyber-defence\, EPFL\, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in
  Lausanne\, and the Cyber-Defence (CYD) Campus have jointly launched the 
 “CYD Fellowships – A Talent Program for Cyber-Defence Research.”\n\n
 CYD Fellowships are designed to promote new solutions to major challenges 
 in the fields of security and data science by bringing together basic and 
 applied research. They are open to researchers at master\, doctoral\, or p
 ostdoctoral level who are willing to engage with cross-cutting issues in c
 yber-defence\, with a particular emphasis on:\n\n	novel technologies for p
 rotecting the confidentiality\, integrity\, and availability of cyber and 
 cyber-physical systems\n	privacy-enhancing technologies\n	data science and
  artificial intelligence methods for analysing cyber- and technology-relev
 ant data\n	research on vulnerabilities and backdoors in digital systems\n\
 nThe CYD Fellowships are supported by armasuisse Science and Technology.\n
 \nWhat:\n\n\n	6-month CYD Master Thesis Fellowships (living allowance and 
 research funds)\n	4-year (with a possible one-year extension) CYD Doctoral
  Fellowships (salary and research and conference funds)\n	(up to) 2-year C
 YD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships (salary and research and confere
 nce funds)\n\n\nWhere: CYD fellows are hosted by a higher education instit
 ution in Switzerland and conduct their research at the CYD Campus located 
 on the premises of EPFL and ETHZ and in its office in Thun. The CYD Campus
  is a cyber-competence center acting as an anticipation platform for ident
 ifying and assessing technologies\, commercial and social cyber trends\, a
 s well as the resulting usage scenarios.\n\nEligibility: Citizens of any n
 ationality can apply\n\n\n	CYD Master Thesis Fellowships: must be enrolled
  in a Master program at a Swiss higher education institution and receive t
 he endorsement of a professor willing to supervise you\n	CYD Doctoral Fell
 owships: must be accepted into a doctoral program at a Swiss higher educat
 ion institution and receive the endorsement of a professor willing to supe
 rvise you\n	CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships: must receive the e
 ndorsement of a professor at a Swiss higher education institution willing 
 to supervise you\n\nWhen to start: Within 6 months of the notice of the aw
