CATEGORIES:Call for proposal
DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Kidney Cancer R
esearch Program (KCRP) Awards. The KCRP Concept Award supports highly inno
vative\, untested\, potentially groundbreaking novel concepts in kidney ca
ncer. The Concept Award is not intended to support an incremental progress
ion of an already established research project but\, instead\, it allows P
rincipal Investigators (PIs) the opportunity to pursue serendipitous obser
vations. This award mechanism supports high-risk studies that have the pot
ential to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation. Research complete
d through a Concept Award may generate sufficient preliminary data to enab
le the PI to prepare an application for future research.\n\nFunding:
      max. $100’000\n\nDuration:      1 year\n\nEligibility: Appl
icants from international organizations or institutions are eligible to ap
ply\, and there are no citizenship restrictions. All investigators at or a
bove the level of postdoctoral fellow (or equivalent) are eligible.\n\nHow
to Apply: Pre-applications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They
should contain contact information\, a letter of intent\, and a list of c
ollaborators and key personnel as suggested on the platform. Full applicat
ions (by invitation) will be made via a Grants.gov workspace. Full applica
tion packages can be downloaded from Grants.gov at any time.\n\nPre-Applic
