DESCRIPTION:Dr. Olivier Chételat\n\nThe measurement of bioimpedance is af
fected by the surface impedance of the skin. A guard electrode can help so
lve the issue\, but the resulting electrical circuit is no longer stable.
Stabilising the circuit is a real challenge because the skin is difficult
to model especially because of its MIMO nature with very large variations
of parameters. The problem will be presented with the different steps that
led to its interesting solution.\n\n\nBio: \nDr. Olivier Chételat recei
ved the PhD degree in robotics from the Swiss Institute of Technology\, La
usanne\, Switzerland in 1997. He spent one year as post-doctoral fellow in
the USA (1998) and two years as assistant professor in Korea (2000/2001).
He joined CSEM in 2001 where he has been involved as technical expert in
several research programs focused on human vital-signs sensors. Since 2009
\, he is head of the Control & Sensing section.
