DESCRIPTION:Aim:  The Israel Institute for Advanced Studies  at  The  
 Hebrew  University  of  Jerusalem  (IIAS)  invites  scholars  from
   Israel  and  abroad  to  submit  Research  Group  (RG)  proposa
 ls for the 2022-2023 academic year. Proposals  may  cover  any  resear
 ch  topic  from  all  disciplines  including  interdisciplinary  re
 search\, and must seek to be innovative with potential impact on their res
 earch field. RG size is flexible\, ranging from 5 to 8 core fellows\,  an
 d each RG can include postdoctoral fellows.  Scholars spend their residen
 cy at the IIAS\, located  at the Edmond J. Safra Campus in Givat Ram\, Je
 rusalem. The IIAS provides its fellows and visiting scholars a nurturing a
 nd stimulating academic environment\, as well as administrative support. 
  Fellows from abroad receive a generous fellowship and family accommodatio
 n.\n\nFunding:        Monthly stipend of $6\,000\, minus living fees
 \n\nDuration:      5- or 10-month residency\n\nEligibility: Research p
 roposals may be submitted by initiator(s) affiliated with any academic ins
 titution in Israel or abroad.\n\nHow to Apply: Initiators are welcome to 
 consult with the IIAS Director prior to submitting the proposal\, includin
 g submitting a “pre-proposal” for review. Full applications are submit
 ted online between September 1 - December 1\, 2020.\n\nDeadline:
