DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Peer-Reviewed C
ancer Research Program (PRCRP) Awards. The PRCRP Career Development Award
seeking to advance cancer research through development of early career inv
estigators. Dependent on the accomplishments of candidates\, the PRCRP wil
l offer two distinct early career development options: the Fellow Option (
CDA-FO) and the Virtual Cancer Center Scholar Option (CDA-SO). This award
supports impactful research projects with an emphasis on discovery.\n \n\
n	Fellow Option: Supports independent\, early-career investigators (referr
ed to as Fellows) to conduct impactful research with the guidance of an ex
perienced cancer researcher (i.e.\, Career Guide).\n	Virtual Cancer Center
Scholar Option: Supports independent\, highly accomplished early career i
nvestigators (referred to as Scholars) to conduct impactful research under
the guidance of an experienced cancer researcher (i.e. Career Guide). Pre
sents an opportunity for Scholars to participate in the unique\, interacti

cancer researchers. This award provides intensive mentoring\, national ne
