DESCRIPTION:Aim: Through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Pro
 gram (CDMRP)\, the Department of Defense is announcing the Chronic Pain Ma
 nagement Research Program (CPMRP) Awards. The CPMRP Translational Research
  Award is intended to support translational research that will accelerate 
 the movement of evidence-based ideas in chronic pain management research i
 nto clinical applications\, such as healthcare products\, technologies\, c
 linical practice guidelines\, and/or models of care. TRA applications shou
 ld explain how the proposed work will inform the development\, refinement\
 , and/or revision of existing standards of care\, recommendations\, or gui
 delines for managing chronic pain. Studies evaluating opioid-based therape
 utic interventions are not allowed.\n\nTo meet the intent of the award mec
 hanism\, applications must address one of the FY20 CPMRP Focus Areas\, whi
 ch are listed at the end of this announcement.\n\nFunding:        ma
 x. $1’400’000\n\nDuration:      4 years\n\nEligibility: Applicants
  from international organizations or institutions are eligible to apply\, 
 and there are no citizenship restrictions. Investigators at or above the l
 evel of Assistant Professor (or equivalent) are eligible to be named as th
 e Principal Investigator (PI) on the application.\n\nHow to Apply: Pre-app
 lications are submitted through the eBRAP platform. They should contain co
 ntact information\, a preproposal narrative\, and a list of collaborators
