DESCRIPTION:Aim:  Dravet Syndrome Foundation is a non-profit organization
  dedicated to aggressively raising research funds for Dravet syndrome. Res
 earch Grant Awards are the largest type of grant awarded by DSF. These gra
 nts are intended for established\, experienced\, independent investigators
  affiliated with a research or academic institution whose proposed project
 s investigate hypotheses directly related to Dravet syndrome. The 2020 pri
 ority areas include:\nOur 2020 priority areas include:\n\n	Transformative 
 research to enhance our understanding of the cellular\, molecular\, geneti
 c and systems-level mechanisms that lead to Dravet syndrome\, facilitating
  the continued investigation of disease-modifying or preventative strategi
 es\n	Research that will encourage the development of novel therapies to pr
 event onset or halt the progression of the Dravet syndrome\n	Research focu
 sed on new\, effective treatments for Dravet syndrome and/or its comorbidi
 ties\n\n\nFunding:        max. $150’000\n\nDuration:      2 ye
 ars\n\nEligibility: Applicants should be affiliated with a research or aca
 demic institution (excluding for-profit companies)\, may be US or foreign 
 based\, established in their field\, and in good standing with their insti
 tution.\n\nHow to Apply: Applications should be submitted via the online p
 ortal and should include:\n\n\n	Face Page – found here\n	Scientific Abst
 ract and Lay abstract – 1 page or less\n	Budget Page (including indirect
  costs of 10%)\n	Budget Justification Page\n	Hypothesis and Specific Aims 
 – 1 page\n	Research Design – 4 pages\, including background\, prelimin
 ary data\, experimental plan and methods\n	A statement on how the research
  will advance the understanding\, treatment or care of people with Dravet 
 syndrome or related epilepsies – ½ page\n	Citations in NIH format (list
