DESCRIPTION:The European Research Area on biodiversity and ecosystem servi
 ces (BiodivERsA) is an ERA-NET initiative supporting research on biodivers
 ity and ecosystem services across 23 EU and associated countries\, includi
 ng Switzerland (via the SNSF). BiodivERsA is co-funded by the Horizon 2020
  ERA-NET COFUND scheme of the European Commission. It supports transnation
 al and collaborative projects via annual calls.\n\nThe 2020-2021 call focu
 ses on Conservation and restoration of degraded ecosystems and their biodi
 versity.\n\nFor Swiss-based applicants and co-applicants: \n\n	proposals w
 ith overlapping funding periods with ongoing SNSF grants are only approved
  if the research projects pursue different goals in the context of this pr
 ogramme.\n	Swiss applicants may participate in at most one BiodivClim prop
 osal.\n	The SNSF exclusively funds research conducted for purposes that ar
 e not directly commercial.\n\n\nWho can apply: \n\n\n	Teams from at least 
 3 different participating countries (at least 2 EU and associated countrie
 s)\, supported by at least 3 different Funding Organisations. Use the Biod
 ivERsA Partner Search Tool to look for a partner.\n\n\n\n	Swiss-based appl
 icants: all Swiss applicants and co-applicants must be eligible for SNSF P
 roject Funding (see EPFL Instructions for SNSF Project Funding).\n	Consort
 ium partners: partners based outside of Switzerland. They must apply for f
 unding via their national funding agency.\n\nPlease contact research@epfl.
 ch to verify your eligibility for the call.\n\nFunding & Duration: TBC whe
 n the call is launched. There is no limit to the requested budget per Part
 ner and/or per Project. The eligible costs are the same as for SNSF Projec
 t Funding (see EPFL Instructions for SNSF Project Funding). VAT should be
