DESCRIPTION:Aim:  This award aims to support young investigators engaged 
 in clinical research focused on ALS\, ALS-FTD\, PLS\, PMA\, and HSP. It is
  funded by the CReATe Consortium and American Brain Foundation\, in collab
 oration with the American Academy of Neurology. Scientists engaged in rese
 arch that is “patient-oriented research conducted with human subjects\, 
 or translational research specifically designed to develop treatments or e
 nhance diagnosis of neurologic disease” are welcome to apply.  This inc
 ludes epidemiologic or behavioral studies\, clinical trials\, studies of d
 isease mechanisms\, the development of new technologies\, and health servi
 ces and outcomes research. Disease-related studies not directly involving 
 humans or human tissue are also encouraged if the primary goal is the deve
 lopment of therapies\, diagnostic tests\, or other tools to prevent or mit
 igate neurological diseases.\n\nFunding:        $150’000 ($65K sal
 ary + $10K research costs per year)\n\nDuration:      2 years\n\nEligi
 bility: Priority will be given to applicants who have completed a medical 
 residency and preferably one year of a clinical fellowship (MD)\, or a pos
 t-doctoral fellowship (PhD) within the past three years\; junior faculty w
 ithin three years of their first faculty appointment are also encouraged t
 o apply. Applications from groups underrepresented in biomedical sciences 
 are encouraged. Applicants are encouraged (but not required) to seek co-me
 ntorship from a member of the CReATe Consortium.\n\nHow to Apply: Applicat
