DESCRIPTION:Prof. Tobias P. Dick (DKFZ\, Heidelberg)\nCOMPULSORY REGISTRAT
ION - DEADLINE OCTOBER 9TH\, 2020\n\nRedox signaling is a process by which
endogenous oxidants\, derived from metabolism\, reversibly modify particu
lar thiols on particular proteins to change their functional behavior in a
n adaptive manner. However\, the molecular mechanisms of redox signaling r
emain largely unknown. In many cases\, specificity and efficiency of redox
signaling remain unexplained. An emerging solution to this conundrum is t
hat redox signaling can be mediated and channeled by protein-to-protein re
dox relay chains. There is growing evidence that H2O2 signals are relayed
through thiol peroxidases to neighboring proteins within supramolecular as
 semblies.
