DESCRIPTION:Aim:  The newly funded Wellcome Trust ’Advanced Therapies f
 or Regenerative Medicine’ programme will train a new generation of resea
 rchers in advanced therapies that underpin regenerative medicine. The prog
 ramme is designed for postgraduate students who wish to carry out high qua
 lity lab-based fundamental research and find solutions to challenging medi
 cal problems. The programme provides an interdisciplinary training. PhD su
 pervisors have been selected across departments from King’s campuses\, f
 or their expertise in core areas of relevance to regenerative medicine\, i
 ncluding cell transplantation\, gene therapy and endogenous tissue repair.
   Six students will be selected each year to commence the programme the f
 ollowing September.\n\nFunding: All students will have their university fe
 es paid in full – regardless of their country of origin or prior study.
  In addition to having all fees paid\, each student will receive a genero
 us stipend.\n\nDuration: Four years\n\nEligibility: These studentships are
  open to candidates of any nationality. Candidates must have a UK upper se
 cond or first class undergraduate degree (predicted / previously obtained)
  or an international equivalent.  \n\nHow to Apply: The application proc
 ess is designed to monitor and maximise  diversity and inclusion.  It th
 erefore contains two separate parts:\n\n	Part A – Application through th
 e King’s Admissions Portal. You will need to fill in certain sections on
  the admissions portal and upload an ATRM Application Document. Please rea

 rocess: (1) Application submission and (2) Document upload.\n	Part B – D
 iversity Monitoring Form. This Diversity Monitoring Form is designed to co
 llect data on the diversity of our applicant pool. We will use it to monit
 or the success of our application strategy which aims to promote  and sup
 port groups which are historically under-represented in academia. \n\n\nD
