DESCRIPTION:The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Eccellenza Profes
 sorial Fellowships are aimed at outstanding researchers in any disciplines
  with a doctorate or equivalent qualification\, who have not yet obtained 
 an assistant professorship in Switzerland or abroad\, who aim at pursuing 
 a career at a higher education research institution in Switzerland and obt
 ain a permanent professorship. Applicants must have an outstanding scienti
 fic track record and be capable of carrying out the proposed research proj
 ect independently. Eccellenza Fellowships cover the grantee's salary and u
 p to 1M CHF in project funds for max. 5 years.\n\nEligibility: 3 to 8 year
 s of scientific activity after the doctoral exam. At least 2 years of rese
 arch activity at a Swiss higher education institution\, or Swiss higher ed
 ucation degree or Swiss nationality.\n\nEPFL support: \nAs a host institut
 ion\, EPFL welcomes excellent candidates who wish to apply to this unique 
 career-funding scheme\, under the following conditions:\n\n	An EPFL instit
 ute is ready to host the candidate for the entire duration of the project\
 ;\n	The HR manager\, Director of Institute\, Dean of School (or Head of EN
 T-R/I/E) and\, if applicable\, Head of Equipment support the candidature.\

 dlines for the internal validation of the candidates. External candidates 
 are kindly invited to contact the Research Office at research@epfl.ch (wit

 he General Confirmation Letter (compulsory)\, candidates wishing to apply 
 with EPFL as their host institution\, must submit a pre-application via th
 e EPFL pre-application platform by the deadline indicated in the EPFL Tool
 kit.\n\nApplicant workshops\nThe ReO has organized two applicant workshops
 :\n\n	On EPFL internal procedures (with speakers from EPFL Schools and Ins
 titutes) on Friday\, November 13\, 2020 at 12:00 – 13:00. \n	On prepari
 ng your SNSF application (with speakers from SNSF Evaluation Committee mem
 bers and SNSF grantees) to be held on Tuesday\, December 1\, 2020 at 12:00
