 's film from 2013\, The Making of an Avant-Garde: the Institute for Archi
 tecture and Urban Studies 1967-1984. \n\n \n\nThe film (64') documents
  and explores the Institute's fertile beginnings in New York as well as it
 s enduring significance as a locus for the architectural avant-garde. The 
 screening will be followed by a conversation between Diana Agrest\, 
 Kim Förster\, and Christophe Van Gerrewey.\n\n \n\nDiana Agrest is an 
 architect and urbanist\, theorist\, writer\, educator and filmmaker. She i
 s professor of architecture at the Cooper Union\, founder of Agrest Gand
 elsonas Architects in New York and was a fellow at the IAUS from 1972 to 1
 984.\n\n \n\nKim Förster is lecturer in architectural studies at the U
 niversity of Manchester\, and author of the forthcoming The Institute f
 or Architecture and Urban Studies (New York\, 1965-1985). Networks of Cult
 ural Production.\n\n \n\nChristophe Van Gerrewey is assistant professor o
 f theory at EPFL. He is the author of Choosing Architecture (EPFL Press\
 , 2019) and the editor of OMA/Rem Koolhaas: A Critical Reader (Birkhäus
