DESCRIPTION:Pro Helvetia is pleased to offer young Swiss designers the opp
 ortunity to participate in a major event for the design branch: the Milan 
 Design Week (13-18 April 2021).\n\nFor the first time\, Pro Helvetia is e
 xcited to collaborate with Alcova\, a platform for independent design whic
 h activates forgotten locations of historical significance in and around M
 ilan\, temporarily recasting them as venues for exhibition and events.\n\n
 Located in three historical buildings of a former military hospital\, imme
 rsed in a luxuriant park\, Alcova will host over 50 exhibitors including t
 he Design Switzerland exhibition.\n\nThe selection of the participating st
 udios is made through this present call for participation\, open until 22 
 November 2020.\n\nThrough this call\, Pro Helvetia is looking for projects
  that have in common ambitious and radically new solutions to current chal
 lenges. They should significantly improve people’s lives in an innovativ
 e\, smart\, engaging and sparkling way in fields such as product design\, 
 mobility\, environment\, well-being or health.\n\nProject owners may submi
 t a project up to seven years after completing their studies or founding t
 heir company.\n\nWho can apply: this call is open for designers who are Sw
 iss citizens or permanently reside in Switzerland.\n\nFor further informat
