DESCRIPTION:Prof. Eli Peli\, Harvard Medical School\nA novel concept of vi
sion multiplexing combines the benefits of a wide\nfield-of-view with high
resolution to enable people with impaired vision\nregain the lost functio
n without losing the surviving one. In optical\nand electro-optical device
s we implemented spatial multiplexing by\nsuperposition or shifting by tem
poral multiplexing (alternating) or by\npresenting different images to the
two eyes and with combinations of the\nvarious approaches. I will illustr
ate these approaches and their\nbenefits with examples of various implemen
 tations for varying\nvision-impairment conditions.
