DESCRIPTION:The Flagship Initiative aims to foster systemic innovation tha
 t helps to master major challenges for economy and society. For its first 
 call\, Innosuisse has chosen two topics that take into account of the effe
 cts caused in economy and society by the Covid-19-pandemic.\n\n1. Coping w
 ith COVID-19 induced acceleration of digital transformation\nThe proposals
  within this topic must concentrate on the following focus areas:\n\n	Educ
 ation\, learning and teaching\n	Tourism and travel industry\n	Real estate 
 and urban planning\n	Healthcare and medical technology\n\n2. Improving res
 ilience and sustainability and reducing vulnerability of society\, infrast
 ructure and processes\nThe proposals within this topic must concentrate on
  one of the following focus areas:\n\n	Demographic shift\n	Supply chains\n
 	Resilience of ICT infrastructures\n	Decarbonisation\n\n\nSubmission and E
 valuation of an application \nThe application process is competitive and w
 ill be a 2-step procedure (Figure 4 and 5): pre-proposal and proposal.\nTi
 ming:\n\n	31 March 2021: Deadline for mandatory pre-proposal (noon Central
  European Summer Time / CEST). The mandatory pre-proposal forms must be us
