DESCRIPTION:Aim: The CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship Program support
 s qualified young scientists at leading universities and research centers 
 around the world. The Institute seeks hypothesis-driven\, mechanistic stud
 ies in both immunology and tumor immunology. The applicant and sponsor sho
 uld make every effort to demonstrate the potential of the proposed studies
  to directly impact our understanding of the immune system’s role in can
 cer.\n\nAdditional opportunities: This year\, in collaboration with the Fi
 brolamellar Cancer Foundation\, CRI has secured limited funding for additi
 onal postdoctoral fellowships for projects focused on understanding the im
 munological response to fibrolamellar carcinoma and accelerating the devel
 opment of effective immunotherapy treatments for this rare\, aggressive li
 ver cancer. Applicants should submit to the general CRI Irvington Postdoct
 oral Fellowship Program and any application in this area will be considere
 d eligible for this special funding opportunity\, which comes in addition 
 to our standard call for applications.\n\nCRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fello
 wship: General and Fibrolamellar Carcinoma-funded Programs\n\nDuration: 3 
 years\n\nFunding: Year 1 - $55\,000 stipend\n            Year 2
  - $57\,000 stipend\n            Year 3 - $59\,000 stipend\n 
            Each year - $1\,500 allowance for research or travel\
 n\nEligibility: Applicant must hold a doctorate degree by the date of awar
 d activation\, but have no more than 5 years postdoctoral experience. Must
  be sponsored by a senior researcher with a formal appointment at the host
  institution.\n\nHow to Apply: Proposal materials\, including an applicati
 on form\, background statement\, CV\, research proposal\, and supporting l
 etters\, must be uploaded via the online portal. Note that the proposal mu
 st be approved and signed by the host institution’s administrative offic
