DESCRIPTION:The Holcim Stiftung offers grants to outstanding young scienti
 sts to carry out excellent research (fundamental\, applied\, PoC and/or ma
 rket-oriented) and scientific teaching in any discipline and field in Swit
 zerland in view of acquiring a lecturer grade qualification or similar.\n\
 nNote: grants are NOT awarded to projects solely for the pursuit of traini
 ng in a new area (as opposed to further training in a field already establ
 ished as a specialism of the candidate).\n\nPriority is given to projects:
 \n\n	with a positive social impact\,\n	exploring innovative methods\, new 
 perspectives or novel lines of questioning crucial to the advancement of s
 cience\,\n	already underway.\n\n\nWho can apply (all must apply): \n\n\n	A
 dvanced postdoctoral researchers or PATT at the beginning of their tenure\
 , who aspire to a lecturer grade qualification or similar.\n	Under 35 year
 s old (a 2-year flexibility is accepted only in exceptional justified case
 s).\n	Who aspire to a professorship.\n	With several publications.\n	Over 2
 0% of the time dedicated to the research project.\n	Based in Switzerland.\
 n\n\nFunding & Duration: no upper or lower limit \n\n\n	Eligible costs: th
 e applicant’s salary and social charges based on SNSF salary scale (usua
 lly between CHF 90’000 and 120’000 p.a.).\n	Does NOT cover: publicatio
 ns\, materials\, personnel\, infrastructure\, Participation in conferences
 \, symposia and overhead.\n	Duration: usually between 24-36 months.\n\n\nR
 estrictions: \n\n\n	Grants are NOT awarded for:\n	\n		Early postdoctoral f
 ellowships.\n		Studies in Switzerland or abroad\, within or outside the ap
 plicant’s field of research.\n		Dissertations.\n	\n	\n	You can submit pa
 rallel requests for funding for your salary\, but you must inform the Foun
 dation at the proposal stage (online application form) and if you receive 
 other positive decisions.\n\n\nDeadlines: 30 April and 31 October (every y
 ear)\nApplication:\n\n	Note: the Foundation does NOT accept informal reque
 sts.\n	Apply via the online application form\, joining your CV\, publicati
 ons\, diploma\, 2 letters of recommendations\, among others.\n\nDecision:
